As we move into the holiday period AHIA helped our neighbors
brighten their spirits at our annual Lagoon Tree lighting event. We had
help from Santa and our local fire department as well as the
We were pleased to have once
again the Starlight Carolers bringing back the memories of the Dickens Novel
with their Victorian period attire as they performed their vocal renditions of
many favorite Christmas Carols from
Children, parents, Grandparents
and even a few scrooges were transformed with the warm spirit of the upcoming
holidays. With plenty of hot chocolate and cookies for all we greeted our
friends and neighbors as well as received a few announcements about the
Alamitos heights home decorating contest. Also everyone was happy to learn that
progress was finally being made on restoring our very own Colorado Lagoon to it’s former habitat for our local birds and marine life to
enjoy as well as improve the swimming and beach conditions.
The excitement came when Santa
arrived on board our local fire truck with ringing bells and flashing lights.
All the kids got to say hi to
Santa thanks to Tom Fallon who has now been sitting in the Santa chair for 17
