Chirstmas Tree Lighting at the Lagoon

AHIAwill kick off the holiday season with its traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony in November at the Colorado Lagoon.

November 27th 2009 6-7:30 pm - Colorado Lagoon Lifeguard Station

With a clear sky as the backdrop, the “trees” in the lagoon will light up brilliantly and Santa will arrive on a fire engine from nearby Station 14 with horns blaring and lights blinking.
There is a concert of traditional holiday music presented by the Star Carolers from Cypress College. Dressed in Victorian period attire, this group will give an exceptional 90 minute performance that will provide a rich holiday atmosphere for the entire evening. There was also hot chocolate and cookies served up by our board members. Of course, THE evening’s highlight will be the parade of toddlers and their proud parents and grandparents who line up for their photo opportunity with Santa Claus. Santa will coax smiles from even the shiest child or sleepiest baby.
